Ha Long bear bile tourism
A new twist to violation of Vietnam’s wildlife protection laws involves luring tourists to bear farms in Quang Ninh and some other provinces where they are encouraged to violate the law by buying and consuming bear products.
Tourists are given a tour of the farm then assembled in a classroom where they witness bile being extracted from a bear and are offered to taste bear bile wine. Before leaving, they may purchase bear products in violation of the law. Many of the tourists then violate CITES laws by smuggling the products out of the country when they leave.

Tiger Bust in Hanoi
Another tiger bust in Hanoi. Head and body parts of a single tiger. Originating from Ninh Binh and probably on its way to the a TCM processing shop in Hanoi. Police had been on this case since the beginning of the month. ENV had a film crew on the scene after being notified of the case by police and FPD. Got some ugly shots of the cut up tiger. Check out the photo gallery below for a skull shot and tiger limbs. This was the second case since the first of the year in Hanoi.
