Nghe An: Leopard cat rescued successfully

On January 13, 2011, ENV received information about a leopard cat (Prionailurus bengalensis) being kept in a resident's house in Nghi Loc district. ENV immediately transferred the information to the authorities in Nghe An. After that, Nghi Loc Forest Protection Department (FPD) checked the site and confiscated the leopard cat. At present, the leopard cat is being kept in Nghi Loc FPD. Nghi Loc FPD is completing all relevant documents in order to transfer the leopard to a rescue center.
