Thua Thien Hue: Two turtles confiscated
On December 8, 2011, ENV received a call from a volunteer via the ENV hotline to report that there were two Indochinese box turtles (Cuora sp.) being displayed for sale in an aquarium shop in Thua Thien, Hue province. ENV immediately transferred the information to the local Forest Protection Department (FPD). On December 9, Hue FPD confiscated the two turtles. On December 12, the turtles were released into Sao La Nature Reserve in A Luoi district.
