Updated version of “New Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Identification Resource”
An updated version of the “New Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Identification Resource” has been released by ENV, the Cuc Phuong Turtle Conservation Center (TCC) and the Asian Turtle Program (ATP).
The book was first developed in 2010 and included lists of 25 kinds of tortoise and freshwater turtle in Vietnam that are protected by Vietnamese and international laws. It provides the identification features, habitat, and current status of each kind, as well as a comparison between them. With the aim of raising public awareness of protecting turtles within the framework of the law, this material is considered to be a helpful handbook not only for the authorities, but also for readers throughout Vietnam.
