The GIZ project “Adaptation to Climate Change through the Promotion of Biodiversity in Bac Lieu Province” aims at improving the ecological functionality of coastal forests and the livelihood of people depending on coastal forests.

There are five focus areas of work within the project as follows:
1. Coastal Zone Management and Coastal Protection
2. Conservation of Bac Lieu Bird Sanctuary
3. Improvement of Coastal Livelihood
4. Enhancement of Local Capacity
5. Environment Education

GIZ is seeking one qualified and experienced Vietnamese national for the full-time position of: Environment Education Officer
Duty Station: Bac Lieu, Viet Nam
Duration: From January 2012 to December 2013

Main responsibilities:

* Supports the Environment Education Expert in preparation and implementation of environment education activities
* Supports the Environment Education Expert with translating environment education documents and interpreting in field trips
* Assists in networking with partners
* Supports with project administration
* Supports other components of the project when required
* Other tasks assigned by the Chief Project Advisor.


Minimum qualifications:
* Bachelor degree or higher preferably in Education or Environment Management
* At least 2 years of experience working for international development projects. Having experience working for Environment Education projects is an advantage
* Good translation and interpretation skills
* Excellent command of MS-Office, Outlook
* Cooperative working with others, integrative and team-spirited personality; meeting the public with courtesy and tact, and using good judgments in providing information
