Quang Ngai: Hawksbill sea turtle released 

On June 27, 2011, after receiving information about a hawksbill sea turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) kept in fresh water at a resident’s house in Binh Son commune, Quang Ngai province, ENV immediately contacted Quang Ngai authorities to report the case. On October 12, 2011, the turtle which weighed 1.7 kg and was 20 cm long was released back into nature by Quang Ngai authorities and Asian Turtle Program. The subject was not punished because he voluntarily transferred the turtle.
