Dien Bien: Loris confiscated
On September 30, ENV received information about a loris that was for sale from a family in the area of Center Market 1 Dien Bien City, Dien Bien province. When asked about its origin, the seller said that she had bought the loris and many other wild animals from the ethnic people. ENV immediately contacted Dien Bien Environment Police; ENV received a report on the same afternoon that the loris had been confiscated.
The loris is going to be released into Muong Nhe Nature Reserve and authorities are still considering the level of punishment for the subject involved.
