Dak Nong: Yellow-cheeked gibbon and macaques seized at a hotel
On July 21, a yellow-cheeked gibbon (Hylobates gabriellae) and two crab-eating macaques (Macaca fascicularis) were confiscated from a Ha Noi hotel located in Gia Nghia town of Dak Nong province. A colleague in the conservation area informed ENV about the case. ENV passed on the information to the local FPD and the FPD immediately investigated the hotel and confiscated the wildlife. The gibbon and macaques are being kept at Gia Nghia FPD while awaiting transfer to a rescue center.
