Ninh Binh: Five macaques transferred to Cuc Phuong NP
On January 19, three stump-tailed macaques (Macaca arctoides) and two pig-tailed macaques (Macaca leonine) were transferred to the Raising Animals for Conservation and Development project at Cuc Phuong NP by the Ninh Binh FPD with the assistance of ENV. The owner received an administrative fine. Previously, an ENV Wildlife Crime Officer received a tip from a volunteer that five macaques were being kept at a local restaurant.
