Ha Noi: Recruitment drive for Wildlife Volunteer Network

On May 15, Education for Nature - Vietnam (ENV) held a recruitment session in Hanoi for volunteers to join ENV’s national Wildlife Volunteer Network. Students and young professionals were encouraged to join the network and get involved in helping stop illegal consumption and wildlife trade. At the meeting, participants were given an introduction to wildlife trade in Vietnam and discussed the important role of volunteers in reporting crimes and ensuring that businesses remain in compliance with wildlife protection laws. Each group received training on survey and reporting methods before conducting a practice survey of 24 businesses across Hanoi. The successful session saw 13 new volunteers join the network. This was the 6th recruitment session held in Hanoi since the beginning of the year.
