Hanoi police have detected two warehouses full of the bones of wild animals in the centre of Hanoi, which has been there for several years.
The Hanoi Environment Police Department and the Dong Da District Police Department on Saturday suddenly searched a house on Quoc Tu Giam Street, Dong Da District, and Hanoi. The house owner, Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam, did not response timely though she equipped the house with modern cameras.
Police officers discovered various kinds of bones in the two warehouses in this house. Police seized around two tonnes of animal bones, seven bear hands, six pieces of tiger skin, sixteen bear galls, six porcupine stomachs, as well as many teeth and the claws of wild animals and some books recording wildlife trading affairs.
Tam declared that she has been trading wildlife products for more than ten years.
