Two live tigers rescued in Ha Dong city
On January 7, environmental police uncovered a major wildlife trafficking operation. Two live tigers, frozen pieces from other four tigers as well as a large quantity of other wildlife products including bear paws and deer antlers were confiscated in Ha Dong city, 10km west of Hanoi.

Wildlife confiscated from the illegal trade
On January 3, five rhinoceros horns being kept in a case were confiscated by customs officers at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh city. According to investigators, the man involved had been hired by an overseas Vietnamese to transport these horns from South Africa to Vietnam. (Vietnamese version)

On January 7, Lam Dong authorities uncovered two cases involving the illegal possession of wildlife, and confiscated more than 54kg of wild animals including wild pigs, macaques, and other wildlife bones and meat. (Vietnamese version)
