HANOI -- German and Vietnamese scientists have recently detected 150
grey-shanked douc langurs, an endemic kind of primates in Vietnam and one of 25
kinds of most endangered primates in the world, in the central highlands
province of Kon Tum.
The grey-shanked douc langurs, whose scientific name is Pygathrix nemaeus
cinerea, have been spotted in Ngoc Linh wildlife reserve in Kon Tum province,
according to local newspaper Labor on Monday.
Grey-shanked douc langurs have been found only in primeval forests in Vietnam's
central and central highlands regions. |
