Crocodiles smuggled to China seized
Over the last few months, Chinese police have confiscated hundreds of crocodiles being smuggled over the border from Vietnam. These crocodiles are generally destined for leather tanning factories.

Warnings for new Tam Dao tourism site
A new tourism development being planned within the boundaries of Tam Dao National Park will need to address a number of serious problems that have plagued a former tourist site in the area, including increased wildlife trade in nearby villages and towns, and streams being polluted by various tourism activities.

Cu Chi Rescue Center opens
A new wildlife rescue center will be officially opened on August 17 by Ho Chi Minh City Forest Protection Department. The Cu Chi Rescue Center will be the first multi-species hospital and holding facility in southern Vietnam, and represents a key asset in the fight against the illegal wildlife trade.
