90 kilograms of monitor lizards confiscated in Quang Nam Province
Thang Binh district Forest Protection Department has seized 90 kilograms of pangolins found hidden in a local resident’s house. These animals have since been released back into the forest.

Forest protection staff in Dak Nong Province attacked by loggers
25 loggers have assaulted four forest protection staff, badly injuring them and burning down their office. This is the second time in six months that forest protection staff members have been seriously attacked by loggers.
