Thirty kilograms of wildlife confiscated in Phu Tho Province
A truck containing a 30 kilogram shipment of wild animals was seized by the Ha Hoa District Forest Protection Department in Phu Tho Province.

Fires ruin 2,540 hectares of forest in four months
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s Department for Forest Management, since the start of the year, there have been 466 forest fires, destroying a total of 2,540 hectares of forest.

Mobile Wildlife Awareness Unit launched
Education for Nature – Vietnam (ENV) has taken its wildlife awareness campaign to the road, launching a new Mobile Wildlife Awareness Unit to raise awareness amongst the public about the threats facing Vietnam’s wildlife as a result of illegal hunting and trade. (English version)

A new pocket-sized photographic field guide (19.5X10 cm) has been released, helping to identify more than 200 butterfly species native to Vietnam.
