Rare timber confiscated in Ha Tinh province
Two trucks, which had already successfully passed through a checking station at the Central border gate, were seized after they were found to be transporting rare timber. The timber species are listed in Group IIA of Decree 32 on the management of endangered, precious and rare species of wild plants and animals. (Vietnamese version)

Tiger in Soc Son Rescue Center in poor condition

New law documents

Circular 19 links criminal law to forest crimes
A new inter-agency circular No 19/2007/TTLT/BNN&PTNT-BTP-BCA-VKSNDTC-TANDTC has been released, outlining guidelines for the application of certain articles in the Criminal Code in relation to violations of forest protection and management laws. (Vietnamese version)
