Quang Ninh provincial Forest Protection Department has seized two trucks found illegally transporting 100 long-tailed macaques and 70 pangolins.

Tens of thousands of marine turtles hatched each year in Con Dao
Approximately 29,013 turtles were born in Con Dao National Park within six months, from April to November of 2006.

Hanoi encourages 3R rubbish treatment model
Hanoi People’s Committee has just launched a campaign to raise public awareness of the need to classify rubbish. This campaign is part of the 3R initiative being implemented by the Hanoi Urban and Environment Company (URENCO) funded by the Japanese Government.

The World Bank provides $ USD 125 million in loans for waste water treatment
The World Bank has signed a US dollars 125 million credit agreement with Vietnam State Bank, providing low interest loans to support waste water treatment and activities to reduce pollution levels in the three cities of Quy Nhon, Nha Trang and Dong Hoi.
