Wildlife confiscated from the illegal trade
On February 29, approximately seven tons of pangolins and pangolin scales were discovered in a container at the port of Hai Phong city. According to customs officials, the container was registered as containing fresh fish and was on its way from Indonesia to China, transiting in Hai Phong.

Elephant slaughtered in Dak Lak province
After receiving a tip-off from local residents, Buon Ma Thuot authorities uncovered hundreds of elephant bones in a local house on February 27. According to initial reports, staff from a mobile circus had sold the bones when their 60-year-old elephant had died. (Vietnamese version)
