New Pillar House Adds to the ENV Training Experience
In early June, Education for Nature – Vietnam (ENV) completed construction of a pillar house at its new National Environmental Education Training Center at Tam Dao National Park. The authentic Thai minority house was purchased from a family in Hoa Binh Province, and moved and assembled at ENV’s training center in just under two weeks time.
With a cool open space of nearly 80 square meters and a scenic view of the looming mountains of Tam Dao National Park across a rich valley of rice fields, the new pillar will be used to host a range of educational and training activities carried out by ENV. The hill-top training center also includes a large classroom, accommodations, and a work room and offices for the community-based Tam Dao Environmental Education Program active in schools and villages bordering the park.
